I’m glad to have my bachelor of degree in Universiti Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus which located at Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan. Labuan is a peaceful island. The living cost is Labuan is quite high due to the portion of the food is quite large. It’s also a duty free island while the beer, liquor, chocolate and cigarettes is quite cheap. Actually Kota Kinabalu is quite far from Labuan, need spend 3 hrs 30 mins by ferry. It’s around RM23.50 (business class) for Malaysian. I spent most of my midterm break in KK.
A knowledge for Peninsular individual, people in East Malaysia are not staying on tree. Actually Sabah has a beautiful natural environment. People who never been here before, can plan to have a trip. It will be a memorable trip 😍
How’s I spend the time in Sabah for 5 days 4 nights with my friends.
Day 1 18.11.2017

Actually is will take a day for flight to go Kota Kinabalu. So our first day will be took flight transit and reached KK around 8.30pm.
The duration from PEN to BKI would be around 3 hrs 15 mins. It’s depend on the flight. There has a direct flight for Airasia, that’s mean no need to transit from KL.
The price around RM149/trip if you get the promotion price.
The duration from KUL to BKI would be around 2 hrs 30 mins. The price around RM110/trip. It’s also depend on you get the promotion price or not. Sometimes can buy the flight using traveloka, there will have promotion always.
Taking flight alone is a great experience for me. When I was child, I was afraid to complete a thing alone. When I grow up, I realized most of the things need to be settled alone. It’s not really difficult.
Additional information, going KK we need to pass through custom and remember get a white paper from the person. We can only stay in KK not exceed 90days and keep the paper properly need to be showed for custom when taking the flight go back Peninsular. Passport is not required.
I reached KK around 8.30pm. We are staying backpacker which cost RM18/bed. It’s quite budget but very nice backpacker which is called Fat Rhino. Unluckily we face a water shortage problem in that backpacker but I’m still recommended that backpacker because the service is best.
Tips for hotel: Trying to find the hotel which located at gaya street.
We having our dinner at Upperstar Cafe & Bar which selling the western food. It’s very familiar and famous in KK.
The food recommended is Grilled Chicken. It’s super nice and delicious. The portion is large and it cost only RM14.95.

Island hoping in Kota Kinabalu is one of the recommended things to do. Island hoping tour includes Sapi island, Manukan island, Mamutik Island and Sulug Island. I never try to go Sulug island before.
There is only 15 mins from jessolton point to the islands. The sea very clear, the sky very beautiful.

Sapi Island

It’s cost RM120 including BBQ seafood lunch, snorkeling and facilities. It’s very worth and the lunch is delicious!
Sorry, no photo shooting for mamutik and manukan island.
